The Dreamfunder Project (Operation Robin Hood) - A programme to create developing world entrepreneurs and help re-distribute wealth.

Young African woman with lovely smile The dreamfunder Project (Operation Robin Hood) - is a programme that will attempt wealth distribution. The Blighty Foundation will work with UK based companies who will offer their products to developing world entrepreneurs for free or at minimal cost. The Blighty Foundation will scour developing mations for entrepreneurs whom we will take onto the programme. They will be trained and then provided with these products via regular parcel shipments from the UK. These entrepreneurs will then be able to sell their wares and create an extra income for themselves and their family. The Dreamfunder entrepreneurs will re-pay a small amount of money to the foundation and be provided with more products thus creating an on-going income stream. A virtuous cycle. It is hoped that these entrepreneurs will then go on to create their own business or use the money to aid their family and local community. It will help create a virtuous cycle from the developed world to the developing world. Blighty Foundation volunteers will initially find, suggest and or locate possible candidates either through word of mouth or on location at Global GreenTrotter tours etc, The first Dreamfunder entrepreneur will be selected by Chris whilst on the 'Understanding 3rd world debt' Global GreenTrotters tour this upcoming September. Our first entrepreneur will be sent products donated by our sister organisation, Blighty Creations. From then, via donations from the public and donations of products from companies we hope to grow this programme to include many more Dreamfunder entrepreneurs in many countries around the world.

The Blighty foundation is the 'not for profit' sister of Blighty Creations. Blighty Creations will donate 5% of its profit to the Blighty Foundation and Blighty Creations staff will work voluntarily for the Foundation. The two companies in tandem will create a unique organisation which will allow us to direct 100% of donations received by the public to those whom it is intended to benefit. All overhead costs associated with the Blighty foundation are to be borne by Blighty Creations meaning donated money reaches those that need it most and is not wasted on paying administation fees, salaries etc etc.

This unique combination will increase effectiveness in both companies. The 2 companies will support and complement each other. The Blighty Creations staff will enjoy splitting their time working for the Blighty foundation doing their 'societal/community' work. This will benefit employees morale and work/life happiness. The Blighty Foundation will benefit from the commercial and business expertise that the Creations employees will bring. We are confident that Blighty Creations will operate on a more effective level than other commercial organisations and that Blighty Foundations will operate on a more effective level than other charities or non for profit organisations.
