The Global GreenTrotters - Come and join me for our inaugural 'Understanding 3rd world debt tour' to India

During my time at university, I spent 6 weeks in rural Kenya teaching at a Masai school, 3 hours from Nairobi an since then have always wanted to get involved helping lift bridge the divide between the richest and poorest areas of the world. We have recently returned fromour first dev tour to Vellatur, India! A fantastic time was had by all and I hoep you will join us next time. Also if you are interested in going independently to India to help out at Ratnams orphanag pleae get into contact with me so I can give you more information.

3 children at vellatur

It was in Kenya that I conceived the idea of a charity/fund raising team that tours the world helping and developing local communities as well as playing sport. In September 2008 our first successful dev tour to India took place. In all 11 greentrotters visited Ratnams orphanage to help build a new block at the orphanage and to take Ratnams plans into reality. We also played numerous cricket matches, the most important of which unfortunately we lost! Our first game and our first defeat! However the dev tour was a success and I know we made a difference to the orphanage and that community. One of our trotters, Richard, is still out there doing all he can to help Ratnams and his wonderful team.

Want to make a difference helping orphaned children? You can still go to Ratnams orphanage to help out, you can donate or you can join us next time we go! So watch this space!
Then visit our website and sign up!
